4 breakfast ideas to start the day off right

It's often said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gives children the energy they need to start school or their favorite activities. We have 4 ideas for healthy, balanced breakfasts for your children, which are simple and quick to prepare:

- Overnight Oats: nothing but oat flakes left in the fridge overnight. The base for overnight oats includes oat flakes, plant-based milk, and then seeds and fruits, according to your preferences.

Flax seeds, chia seeds, banana, mango, berries, honey, cane sugar, cinnamon… treat your children while focusing on healthy eating! After a night in the fridge, the oat flakes will have swelled due to the milk and will be ready to eat. For more aesthetic appeal and indulgence, you can also make several layers, add a few final touches according to your wishes, or heat it up if you prefer to eat it warm.

- Rice Pudding: everyone knows rice pudding! Easily and quickly prepared, even in advance, this tasty snack can be eaten hot or cold. It can be accompanied by fresh fruit, coulis, honey, sugar, jam, or cinnamon to delight the taste buds of both young and old!

- Cottage Cheese with Berries: if you want to try a mix of sweet and savory, mixing cottage cheese with fruits is a great idea for a healthy breakfast for your kids! You can also add cornflakes, seeds/nuts/cereals, or honey.

- Homemade Granola: which can be prepared in large quantities in advance, is also an excellent healthy food idea for children. We propose a nice and delicious homemade granola recipe, and you decide how much sugar you want to add. You will need:

  • 300g of cereal flakes of your choice (oat, millet, toasted rice)

  • 200g of a mix of oleaginous seeds (almonds, hazelnuts or walnuts) + sesame, pumpkin, sunflower

  • 2 tablespoons of mild olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons of T80 flour or buckwheat flour

  • 125ml of apple juice

  • 2 tablespoons of acacia honey

  • Dried fruits (raisins, apricots, figs, cranberries…) or chocolate shavings

Start by mixing the cereal flakes with the roughly chopped seed mix, apple juice, flour, honey, and olive oil. Once mixed, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and bake your mixture at 150 degrees for 40 minutes until it reaches a lightly golden brown color. Don't hesitate to stir occasionally. Add the final gourmet touches (dried fruits) and wait for the granola to harden before putting it in containers.

You can also add some raw vegetables (lettuce, tomato, carrot) and a sauce to complete it. This tasty snack will delight both young and old!

Never lose a lunchbox again with lunchbox labels

These delicious wraps easily fit into lunchboxes and can be taken to school. To prevent your child from losing them, exchanging them, or misplacing them, label all the containers taken to the nursery, to the nanny's, or to friends' houses with lunch box labels.

With these custom labels, lunchboxes are more likely to come home with their owner. Shape, text, color, and illustration, your child can personalize their stick-on labels for lunchboxes however they like.

Delicious energy bars for snack time

Does your child get hungry in the afternoon? What's better than a snack that emphasizes healthy food for children? Prepare energy cereal bars, a balanced snack for break time or fun afternoons at the playground.

Like granola, you just need to finely grind almonds (or other types of nuts) and fruits (raisins, dates) then mix them with cereals (oat flakes), coconut, butter, agave syrup, honey, and seeds. Spread the mixture on parchment paper and flatten the preparation to a height of 1 cm. Bake for about fifteen minutes at 160 degrees, then, once the mixture has cooled, cut into bar shapes with a knife. Your child is ready to enjoy each outing!

Fresh Smoothies for Kids Who Don't Like Vegetables

Many children are not fans of fruits and vegetables! Don't panic, we have a healthy, balanced, and more original food idea for your children that includes fruits and vegetables. Because yes, it's important to load up on vitamins and strengthen the immune system, especially in winter.

The secret is to mix fruits and vegetables to make delicious smoothies, your kids won't even know! Combine carrots with oranges, spinach with apples or pears, or beets with strawberries. In addition to getting mixes with beautiful colors, these healthy drinks will certainly intrigue your children and make them eat more fruits and vegetables.

Once your balanced smoothies are prepared, put them in glass bottles or jars and label all the containers with personalized labels. Whether it's in the schoolyard for recess, at the playground, or even at a holiday camp, your child will certainly appreciate a little something tasty and sweet to drink, just to give them some energy!
